Les Saisies is a ski resort in the Savoy between the Beaufortain valley and the Val d'Arly. The resort is about 50 minutes drive from Albertville. It is a family resort located in a beautiful setting overlooking Mont Blanc and the Aravis mountain range. The architecture of the buildings is that of traditional Savoyard villages. The downhill ski area between forest and pasture has an excellent snow cover. Its slopes offer relatively easy skiing and are ideal for beginners and children. More advanced skiers can try the more difficult slopes in other parts of the larger linked 'Espace Diamant' ski area. Enthusiasts of Nordic disciplines can discover the 120 km of cross-country ski runs which were used for events in 1992 winter Olympics.
